研究方向及研究室特色:
內分泌實驗室位於醫學大樓八樓醫學生物共同研究室的一角,共同研究室係由六位不同研究領域的老師組成,包括藥理、生化、解剖及生理方面。本實驗室除在開放的空間擁有三個實驗檯外,尚有細胞培養室、放射線操作室及共用之儀器室,並與解剖科莊宏亨老師實驗室互動,進行分生方面的研究;亦與醫院皮膚科及醫美主治醫師胡倩婷合作。本實驗室主要的研究主題為:
食物中的營養成分對於人體內分泌及免疫細胞功能之作用機制
此類營養成分有來自蕃茄的茄紅素,茶葉的兒茶素,辣椒中的蕃椒辣素等小分子,觀察這些營養物對:
(1) 人血中免疫細胞(如:淋巴球、單核球)分泌細胞素(Cytokines)的影響。
(2) 內分泌系統(大鼠卵巢、睪丸、腎上腺)荷爾蒙分泌之影響。
(3) 腎癌細胞RCC分泌細胞素及生長之影響。
(4) 皮膚癌(melanoma)細胞生長之影響。
中藥及藥物對免疫或內分泌之作用
以市面上常見之中藥,如「甘草素」、「黃蓮」、「雷公藤」、或救心的成分「毛地黃」為主,觀察其對內分泌腺體分泌荷爾蒙、腎癌細胞RCC、皮膚癌(melanoma)細胞、及免疫細胞分泌細胞素之影響。
