We expect to further improve the already rich contents in Physiology and Pharmacology teaching. This would include overall investigation and assessment of traditional and case-based learning (CBL) in Physiology and Pharmacology, and enhance interactive teaching styles. Meanwhile, the department would intensity and diversify hands-on teaching contents (i.e., practical laboratory topics) to effectively convey their clinical applicability. In addition, the department shall strengthen its faculty by recruiting elite young scholars to join the teaching and research groups with expertise in the fields the department lacks or deems as potential directions. The department looks forward to exploring prospective research topics, to collaborating the capacity of departmental faculty and intra- and inter-university professionals to form vigorous research teams, and through efforts in specific topics, to playing the leading role in related fields.
